Publication Ethics

NGABDHIH: Journal of Community Service and Development is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and quality. All parties involved—editors, authors, peer reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to the ethical guidelines set forth below, which are based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

Duties of Authors:

  • Authors must ensure that the submitted work is original and has not been published elsewhere or is not under consideration for publication in another journal.
  • Authors must accurately report research methods, data, and findings. Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data is strictly prohibited.
  • All persons who have made a significant contribution to the manuscript must be listed as authors. Guest authorship and ghost authorship are not permitted.
  • Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript.
  • Authors must obtain informed consent from participants involved in their research and comply with all relevant ethical regulations.

Duties of Reviewers:

  • Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscripts they review and must not share or use the content for their own benefit.
  • Reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from reviewing manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
  • Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of manuscripts.

Duties of Editors:

  • Editors must ensure fair and unbiased evaluation of all manuscripts regardless of the authors' nationality, ethnicity, gender, or institutional affiliation.
  • Editors must protect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

Editors must investigate all suspected cases of research and publication misconduct and take appropriate action in accordance with COPE guidelines.
