Plagiarism Policy
Dhofier: Journal of Islamic Education upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and is firmly committed to preventing all forms of plagiarism and scholarly misconduct. Plagiarism, in any of its forms—including verbatim copying, paraphrasing without proper attribution, self-plagiarism, and data fabrication—is considered a serious ethical violation and will not be tolerated. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are screened using professional plagiarism detection software, such as Turnitin or iThenticate, prior to the peer review process. Manuscripts that show a similarity index exceeding the acceptable threshold will be immediately returned to the authors for revision or outright rejection, depending on the severity of the duplication.
Authors are required to ensure that their submitted manuscripts represent original and unpublished work, and that all sources, ideas, and data derived from other scholars are properly cited and acknowledged in accordance with the applicable citation style. The journal strictly prohibits the simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals. In cases where self-plagiarism is identified—such as the recycling of previously published text without disclosure—the editorial board will treat the submission as a policy violation and may notify the authors' affiliated institutions. It is the sole responsibility of the authors to obtain appropriate permissions for any reproduced figures, tables, or extended quotations from copyrighted materials.
Should plagiarism or any form of research misconduct be discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue a formal retraction of the article and to notify relevant stakeholders, including the authors' institutions and indexing databases. The editorial board follows the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling all allegations of misconduct, ensuring that investigations are conducted fairly, transparently, and in a timely manner. Authors who are found to have committed plagiarism may be permanently blacklisted from submitting future manuscripts to Dhofier: Journal of Islamic Education. The journal remains dedicated to fostering a culture of academic honesty and ethical scholarship within the field of Islamic education.
