Archiving Policy
ALIEF: Journal of Early Childhood Education is committed to the long-term preservation and digital archiving of all published content to ensure permanent access and prevent loss of scholarly records.
Digital Archiving:
All articles published in ALIEF are archived through the following systems:
- PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) — a distributed digital preservation network for journals using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform
- LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) — a distributed digital preservation system that ensures multiple copies of content are stored across participating libraries
- Portico — a digital preservation service that maintains archival copies of electronic scholarly content
- Internet Archive — for additional web-based archiving and public accessibility
Preservation Strategy:
The journal ensures that metadata and full-text content are preserved in multiple formats and locations. In the event of journal cessation or a system failure, archived content will remain accessible to readers through the partner archiving networks. Authors are also encouraged to deposit accepted manuscripts in their institutional repositories to further ensure preservation and visibility.
