Peer Review Process

ALIEF: Journal of Early Childhood Education employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scholarly integrity of all published manuscripts. In this process, both the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential to minimize bias and ensure objective evaluation.

Review Stages:

  • Initial Screening: Upon submission, all manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess compliance with the journal's scope, formatting requirements, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria will be desk-rejected without external review.
  • Assignment to Reviewers: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers with relevant subject-matter expertise.
  • Review Period: Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluation within 4–6 weeks. The editorial team may extend this period if necessary.
  • Editorial Decision: Based on reviewers' feedback, the Editor-in-Chief makes one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
  • Revision Process: Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers' comments and submit a detailed response letter within the specified timeframe.
  • Final Decision: Revised manuscripts may undergo additional review before a final acceptance or rejection decision is made.

ALIEF is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and academic excellence throughout the peer review process.
