Peer Review Process

RECHT ORDE employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scholarly integrity of all published articles. All submitted manuscripts undergo the following review stages:

Stage 1: Editorial Screening

Upon receipt of a manuscript, the Editor-in-Chief conducts an initial screening within 7 (seven) working days to assess whether the submission meets the basic requirements of the journal's scope, formatting standards, and ethical compliance. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be returned to the author(s) without further review.

Stage 2: Plagiarism Check

All manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subjected to a plagiarism detection check using Turnitin or iThenticate. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% (excluding references) will be returned to the author(s) for revision or may be rejected outright.

Stage 3: Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the plagiarism check are forwarded to a minimum of two (2) independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The identities of both the authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process to ensure objectivity. Reviewers are requested to complete their evaluation within 21 (twenty-one) working days.

Stage 4: Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief will issue one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision — The manuscript is accepted for publication as submitted.
  • Accept with minor revision — The manuscript requires minor corrections; revised version reviewed by the editor.
  • Major revision required — The manuscript requires significant changes and will be re-evaluated by reviewers.
  • Reject — The manuscript does not meet the journal's standards and is not suitable for publication.

Stage 5: Final Proofreading and Layout

Accepted manuscripts undergo final language editing, proofreading, and typesetting before publication. Authors will be given the opportunity to review the galley proof prior to final publication.
